Technical Overview & Specification
WATT.ma relies on open industry standards to ensure hardware interoperability across all major European and international EV charger manufacturers.
1. Supported OCPP Protocol Versions
We natively support OCPP 1.6-JSON over WebSockets (OCPP-W) with TLS encryption (wss://). Support for OCPP 2.0.1 is available for advanced smart grid deployments.
2. Required OCPP Message Profiles
Hardware must reliably implement Core messages (Authorize, BootNotification, Heartbeat, MeterValues, StartTransaction, StopTransaction) and RemoteTrigger.
3. Hardware Certification Program
Manufacturers can submit hardware samples for automated lab validation to earn official "WATT.ma Certified Compatible" badge status.
Compliant with Moroccan national grid (ONE), CNDP Law 09-08 data protection, and international OCPP standards.
